FAQ

Will it rub or chafe my dog?

The chest strap sits on the breastbone, not in the armpit, and the padded panel spreads pressure over a wider area instead of digging into one spot. If the fit isn't right for your dog's shape, that's what free size exchanges are for.

What if it doesn't work on the first walk?

Most owners feel steadier right away, but some dogs need a few walks to learn the new feedback. PawSteady is a control tool, not a replacement for training — clip to the front ring, keep early walks short, and give it a few sessions. If it's still not right within 60 days, exchange or return it.

How do I know I'm getting the right size?

Start with your dog's weight, then confirm with a chest measurement using our size guide. Between sizes? Size down — the straps adjust up. And if the first size misses, the exchange is free.

My shoulder or back isn't what it used to be. Is this manageable for me?

PawSteady is about giving you more leverage: the front clip redirects a pull back toward your side instead of straight ahead, so a sudden lunge is easier to manage. It doesn't replace good walking habits, but it puts the control point where you have the most say over the moment.

I've tried a "no-pull" harness before and it didn't help. Why is this different?

Most harnesses clip on the back — which gives your dog a straight line to pull against. PawSteady uses a front control point plus a padded top handle, so the same pull gets turned sideways instead of forward. Different attachment point, different physics.

Does it replace training?

No. It's a management tool that makes pulling and sudden lunges more manageable while you and your dog build better walking habits.

What if my dog is between sizes?

Size down — the straps adjust up — and use free exchanges if needed.
